Appearance:

When in human form, Hisa appears to be a 22 year old female. She has a slightly thin build with almost no muscle mass. She stands around 5' ft 6 inches, though she appears a bit shorter because of her bad posture. Her skin is sickly pale, and her face is slender and angular with a medium-large nose.

Her eyes are dark blue-green, and normally appear tired. There are normally dark bags under her eyes for various reasons. Inside her jaw are slightly long canines that aren't particularly sharp or noticeable.

Her hair is white, due to her failure at shapeshifting, though she's dyed it a light brown. Bits of white peek through the roots and various other areas in a generally not-flattering way. Her hair reaches down to her mid back and her bangs loosely flop down over her eyes, adding shadow to her face.

She normally wears black boots, dark low rise jeans, a black studded belt, black leather gloves, and a loose fitting black tank-top. She also wears a black trench coat, for the sole reason that it looks cool. She never irons her clothes and rarely washes them, making her outfit generally dirty and wrinkly. She smells strongly of alcohol.

In her “fox” form, she is about the size of a large, slender wolf. Her eyes turn yellow and her coat is shining white. She has three tails that are as long as the rest of her body. She has the anatomy of a fox otherwise.


History:

Hisa is a 337 year-old three-tailed kitsune, though honestly she lost count at 300. Her species, though based on Japanese folklore, is specific to her world. Kitsune are born in fox form, and only gain other forms after their ability to shapeshift manifests itself around age 50. Every hundred years or so (starting at year 200), their tail splits. This number is approximate; the year is different for each kitsune.

Hisa was born in the Japan of her world along with her brother, Souta. She and her brother were as close as siblings could be, given the fact that they were technically demons. They left the comfort of their parents around the time they were 58. They traveled around the world (and through some others) living as successful thieves/assassins for hire. Souta would do most of the dirty work, while Hisa would handle the transactions and fast-talk.

They were very good at what they did .More specifically, her brother was very good at what he did, and Hisa was more of a sidekick. Things slowly became more heated between them up until the time of his death. Her brother knew how to get under her skin, and his carefully veiled insults nagged on her until she snapped.

So when a group of bounty hunters caught Hisa instead of her brother, they were easily able to bribe her into helping them. Since Hisa was the one that potential employers contacted, it was easy for her to give her brother information on a helpless old man that needed killing. Of course, when he got there, the bounty hunters where waiting for him. He was easily overtaken by the demons.

Hisa thought she could handle being alone, but she couldn’t. She’d never been alone before in her entire life, and she began to miss Souta. This was more than she could handle. The thought that she’d helped kill the only person she cared about? No way could she deal with that. She convinced herself that she’d been forced to betray her brother, that they’d threatened her. In this way, she never had to take responsibility for her actions.

She now wanders around doing odd jobs for a living. She feels guilty about her brother’s death, but has convinced herself that she had no choice. She’s turned to drinking to relieve most of her "grief".

Abilities/Weaknesses:

When she was younger, she had the standard “kitsune” abilities. She could control fire, shapeshift, and perform other magic. Nowadays, she’s grown out of practice. She can make a pretty show with fire, but not much else. She can shapeshift, but only between her human and fox forms, and even that takes a lot of energy on her part. She can see auras and ghosts.

She has exceptional intelligence when not in a drunken haze. She knows Japanese, English, Latin, and various curses in other tongues. She knows how to pick a lock, and has basic skills in stealth. She's pretty good with knives, but not as good as she'd lead you to believe.

Note: Hisa, as a person, is made of fail. She lies, all the time. If she says anything that defers from her profile…it’s a lie. She does not know Mandalore, she does not know how to swordfight, and she is not your bestest best friend in the whole wide world. Just so you don’t think she’s over powered in play, she’s really weak. =3
